Abdominoplasty or tummy tuck is an ideal procedure for the correction of the skin laxity and “pot belly” that results from aging and pregnancy. It can reshape an abdomen that resists traditional weight-loss methods. This procedure involves the removal of excess skin via an incision hidden within the bikini line and the muscle is tightened. As a result, patients will have flatter, firmer abdomens after the surgery that can be maintained through healthy diet and exercise.

Most of the time, belly fat surgery is for people more than 100 pounds overweight. There are actually three different surgery choices available to those who choose this method for losing belly fat.

Banding of the stomach where part of the stomach is banded off making the stomach smaller and can only hold small amount of food.

Another surgical procedure is the gastric bypass where food is made to go directly into the intestines bypassing the stomach. Bariatric weight loss surgery(gastric bypass) is also a good option as a last resort for removing excess fat. This procedure can shrink the stomach’s volume so people feel full sooner and lose weight and it can also reduce the absorption of nutrients, causing weight loss.

Research has also shown that gastric bypass surgery also has a dramatic impact on the hormones that drive hunger.

Bariatric surgery has indeed shown very good results and the procedure is safer and more effective than most of us realize.

The third option how to reduce belly fat by surgery is called liposuction, a cosmetic surgery, or body sculpting. Today liposuction is one of the most popular procedures. It involves the sucking out of fat not exceeding 10 pounds. All these three surgical procedures are very difficult, risky and can have negative side effects.

As you are aware infant indigestion or infant gerd or even infant colic, is one of the most misunderstood of conditions. is painful for everyone concerned.

It is a difficult thing when your children have indigestion or acid reflux problems. Many children suffer with digestive problems from birth while others are diagnosed throughout their childhood. The thing with children having indigestion problems is that it is not only the child that is truly affected. The whole family and mostly the parents are impacted as well.

One of the biggest problems parents with children who suffer from indigestion problems is getting them to eat. Children learn quickly when things make them uncomfortable. Infants with indigestion will often stop eating altogether until they are offered a different formula or cereal that is lighter on their stomachs. It is most instinctive behavior indeed. However, while adults know that you must eat to stay healthy and to survive, children cannot grasp that logic. So, they are often happy with no eating at all.

Older children who start suffering from indigestion might start requesting only one food. They may want that “safe food” that does not give them indigestion for every meal. This too can be frustrating for parents. Parents might worry that their child will never eat regularly again or that the child is not getting the proper nutrients they need.

The first thing you should do when you are having eating problems out of your child is take a trip to your family doctor. They will often have a list of suggestions to try. If you have tried all of the suggestions, without success, they may recommend your child sees a nutritionist or even a therapist to help them with this fear.

The truth is that many children who suffer from infant indigestion don’t eat because they become afraid of food. So, they have to break their fearful behavior. It can be a slow process and parents need to be very sensitive and attentive during this time. Many of these children are at risk for other eating disorders, like anorexia, if this type of behavior goes untreated.

Some simple steps to start with are by making lists of foods that your child feels comfortable eating. Create their meals based on these foods, but also require them to take at least two bites of a vegetable or some other healthy food at each meal. This will help them see that not all foods will hurt them. Of course make sure the foods you are requiring them to try are not likely to cause more indigestion in general. You can do a little research to figure out what foods are bland enough to get them to try. Before long, your child might be eating a well balanced diet again and you may feel great about it.

Acid reflux syndrome can happen to anyone regardless of his/her age or sex etc. It occurs when excess acid in your stomach rises and makes its way back up out of your stomach, through the valve I have already mentioned to your chest area and above.

In fact, studies have been done and proven that severe acid reflux syndrome can cause Esophageal Cancer, and moreso in the male sex, or in those people that suffer from obesity.

Nearly all of us will experience acid reflux or heartburn, at one time or another. This condition occurs when the muscle at the base of the esophagus, called the lower esophageal sphincter or LES, does not close properly for one reason or another. This allows stomach acid and food to come up from the stomach into the esophagus, throat and mouth. The result is a painful burning sensation, and occasionally a sour taste in the mouth. For occasional heartburn, over the counter antacids are generally sufficient to keep the painful symptoms at bay. However, if you experience frequent heartburn, you may be suffering from acid reflux disease, or GERD.

Acid reflux syndrome is a potentially serious condition that you should have checked out by your doctor. Indications that you might have acid reflux include experiencing heartburn symptoms two or more times each week, heartburn symptoms worsening or keeping you up at night, and symptoms that persist even after taking over the counter medications. You may notice these symptoms,if you have asthma, getting more severe as well. Sometimes frequent heartburn, or acid reflux syndrome, can affect your throat, causing excessive coughing or hoarseness. You can even have symptoms like weight loss or decreased appetite. Any of these symptoms could mean that you are suffering from acid reflux syndrome, and a trip to your doctor is warranted.

While acid reflux in itself is not necessarily a serious illness, and certainly not life threatening, the acid reflux symptoms can eventually cause damage to the esophagus. If the damage goes unchecked and becomes severe enough, it could lead to an increased risk of esophageal cancer. This is why it is so important for you to see your doctor if you suspect that you have acid reflux syndrome. Your doctor can determine if you have experienced any damage to the lining of your esophagus and take the appropriate measures to ensure that the damage heals properly. This process usually involves taking a prescription medication that will keep the acid at bay, giving your esophagus time to heal itself. These medications can also do much to reduce your painful symptoms, offering you a more comfortable way of life once again.
