Things about Depressions
Depression is generally ranked in terms of severity — mild, moderate, or severe. The degree of your depression, which your doctor can determine, influences how you are treated. Symptoms of depression include:
- Sleeping problems: either you cannot sleep or you tend to sleep too much
- Extreme difficulty in concentrating
- A noticeable shift in your appetite, usually resulting in either gaining weight or losing weight
- Feeling like you are worthless, guilty, or full of hate for yourself
- Feeling of hopelessness and helplessness
- Agitated, restless, and irritable
- Withdrawn, not wanted to take part in your regular activities
- Tired, fatigued and general lack of energy
- Recurring thoughts of death or suicide
