These days more and more consumers in the cosmetics industry are looking for and are interested in Natural Cosmetics. The leading makers of cosmetics are realizing this. While the majority of these market leaders are taking positive action and producing their own natural cosmetics some of the less reputable ones are just using marketing and advertising strategies to make us think that is what they are doing. If you want Natural Cosmetics then it is advisable to make sure you are getting the real deal.

The problem is that many of these less reputable manufacturers are stretching the limits of what can be called natural cosmetics and this often means that we are not actually getting the authentic product. Things like including one natural ingredient to an existing non natural product, like a plant extract, and saying this means the whole thing is a natural product when this is clearly not the case.

If you are determined to use Natural Cosmetics then it is most important to find out if the all the ingredients come from a natural source or whether they are a blend of natural and synthetic. This can be further complicated by making sure that the natural ingredients are not extracted using chemicals which can ruin the properties of the natural ingredient completely. Looking for words like cold pressed on the label as this indicates that the process was chemical free.

To be totally sure you are getting truly natural cosmetics then it needs to meet the following requirements. First it must be plant or mineral based. It must use the above mentioned cold press process. There must be no bleaching involved in the processing. The fragrance of the product must be natural too like from essential oils and that the botanical or natural properties are preserved from the start of the process to the end.
